Best practices for bullying and violence prevention
1. Focus on improving the overall school climate (social norms campaigns should include all kids, not just the cool kids)
2. Assess Bullying in your School using data
3. Seek out support for bullying prevention from principal, a majority of teachers, and parents
4. Train ALL staff to identify risks, intervene, report, as well as strategies to prevent aggression
5. Establish and enforce school rules and policies
6. Increase adult supervision in "bully zones," that students identify on a map
7. Intervene consistently and appropriately on-the-spot, immediately following the event
